SL (Sweet Lorraine) and I cannot embark on an adventure without some sturm und drang, and this year is no exception. Last year, faithful bloggee, you may recall that, after months of planning we timed our vacation to perfectly coincide with the awakening of eyjafjallajoku in Iceland. This year it is tornados in Kansas. Seems that the DHL courier planes could not land in Kansas due to tornados, so we do not have our ferry tickets, and we are leaving in 37 minutes for the airport.
We asked our travel agent in Greece why they are taking so long, and his response was that they were sent to the courier just before Good Friday, so the holiday interfered with the process. Now if you have ever been to Greece, you will already know that they are VERY religious; the Greeks have more churches than Mississippi has McDonalds. So my confusion can be forgiven when I try to understand how Easter came as such a surprise to our Greek travel agent.
Somehow, we will work this out.
